Matching the fermentation stage with the granulation stage is the starting point for integration. Traditional fermentation lines typically use compost turners (such as double-screw compost turning machine) with working depths of 1.2 to 1.6 meters and high processing capacities. However, modern granulation equipment imposes stricter requirements on material fineness and moisture content; most granulators require input material with a fineness of 60 mesh or finer and a moisture content of 20% or less. Feeding fermented material directly into the granulator can compromise pellet formation rates due to excessive moisture or overly long fibers. The solution is to introduce an intermediate processing stage: using a semi-wet material crusher for fine grinding, followed by pre-drying equipment to adjust the moisture content to the target range. Properly configuring this intermediate stage allows for a 1:1 capacity match between the fermentation and granulation sections, preventing bottlenecks.
Advantages of production line integration with new granulation equipment. Take the "two-in-one" organic fertilizer granulator as an example: this machine combines the traditional mixing and granulation steps into a single unit. Materials are uniformly mixed in an internal mixing zone before passing directly into the granulation zone to form pellets, thereby reducing the equipment investment and floor space required for intermediate conveying systems. This design results in a more compact production line layout, making it particularly suitable for facility upgrades where space is limited. The complete production line forms a closed loop, starting with the feeding of fermented material into the crusher and proceeding through mixing, granulation, screening, and packaging.
Synergy between granulation equipment and downstream screening. Organic fertilizer disc granulators produce pellets with a wide size distribution, necessitating an efficient screening system for classification. Oversized particles (retained on the screen) and fine powder (passing through the screen) are returned to the granulator for reprocessing via a return conveyor belt, creating a closed-loop cycle. The integration logic for the entire BB fertilizer production line follows the same principle: individual units are flexibly linked via conveying systems and buffer hoppers, ensuring that brief fluctuations in any single stage do not trigger a total line shutdown. When selecting equipment, one must look beyond the performance of individual machines and instead evaluate the compatibility and synergistic efficiency across all stages of the line to maximize return on investment.
