Upgrading fertilizer production equipment, on the surface, is simply "replacing the old with the new," but in reality, it affects the efficiency, cost, and product quality of the entire production line. A difference in equipment can mean a one-third reduction in fermentation cycle, the elimination of two separate granulation machines, or an increase in granule strength by one grade. The following analysis examines the real benefits of equipment upgrades in three stages: fermentation, mixing, and granulation.

Fermentation Stage—Turning Depth Determines Fermentation Cycle. Traditional turning equipment typically has an effective turning depth of less than 1 meter, leaving the material at the bottom of the pile in a chronically oxygen-deficient state, resulting in a fermentation cycle of 25-30 days. The double screws compost turning machine, with its dual-axis counter-rotating design, can achieve an effective turning depth of up to 1.6 meters. A single turn can raise the material from the bottom of the pile to the surface, uniformly increasing the oxygen concentration in the pile to over 5%. The fermentation cycle can be shortened to 18-22 days, with approximately 30% more mature material produced in the same timeframe. Mixing Stage – Mixing efficiency determines the maximum production capacity. This creates three-dimensional convection motion of the material within the mixing chamber, achieving a mixing uniformity CV ≤ 5%, and a single batch mixing time of only 3-5 minutes. Compared to ordinary single-shaft mixers, efficiency is increased by approximately 40%, significantly improving production capacity per unit time. A built-in spraying device can evenly spray water or binder onto the material, meeting the moisture requirements of subsequent granulation processes.

Granulation Stage – The value of integration far exceeds saving a single piece of equipment. The new type two-in-one organic fertilizer granulator combines the traditional mixing and granulation processes into one. After entering the equipment, the material is first evenly mixed in a high-speed mixing zone, then directly transferred to a low-speed granulation zone to roll into pellets. Materials with a moisture content of 8%~15% can be directly extruded, requiring no water addition, drying, or binder addition throughout the process. The overall energy consumption of the production line is only 50%~60% of that of wet processing. The comprehensive energy consumption per ton of product is approximately 12~18 yuan, and there are no drying exhaust emissions. This technology is particularly suitable for areas with energy sensitivity or strict environmental requirements. The benefits of equipment upgrades are not only reflected in the improved performance of individual machines, but also in the comprehensive improvement of overall line efficiency, product quality, and long-term operating costs.
