New type two in one organic fertilizer granulator

The new type of organic fertilizer granulator is a composite granulation equipment that integrates the two core functions of crushing and granulation into one unit. This equipment overturns the traditional "segmented" granulation model, condensing the processes that previously required two separate machines—a crusher and a granulator—into a single machine. The equipment is designed and manufactured using a new wet continuous pusher granulation process. Utilizing the mechanical stirring force of high-speed rotation and the resulting friction, fine powder materials continuously complete the entire process of mixing, granulation, pelletizing, densification, and polishing within the machine. This equipment can process various organic materials and compound fertilizer raw materials, and it has particularly good granulation effects on coarse fibrous materials that are difficult to granulate with conventional equipment. The granulation rate is consistently above 95%, producing round, smooth, high-strength granules with extremely low pulverization rate, making it a core piece of equipment for upgrading and replacing traditional organic fertilizer production.

Overall structure and functional modules

The new type of organic fertilizer two-in-one granulator has a scientifically compact structure and mainly consists of the following systems:

(I) Integrated Main Unit: This is the core working unit of the equipment, integrating the crushing and granulation systems. The main unit adopts a thickened cylinder design, with the inner wall lined with high-molecular polyethylene plates or stainless steel mirror panels.

(II) Feeding and Mixing System: This includes a feeding hopper, a screw conveyor, and a mixing assembly, which can complete the uniform mixing and conveying of raw materials.

(III) Dual-Process Granulation System: Depending on the technical route, it can be divided into two main types: a "stirring tooth + rotating drum" composite type or an "extrusion + disc" combination type.

(IV) Intelligent Control System: Equipped with a PLC control module, it can monitor parameters such as material moisture and rotation speed in real time, and automatically adjust the extrusion pressure and granulation speed.

(V) Screening and Return System: It has a built-in screening device and return channel. Qualified granules are directly discharged, while unqualified granules are automatically returned for secondary granulation.

(VI) Energy-Saving Drive Motor: It adopts a national standard pure copper energy-saving motor, which provides stable power and low energy consumption. The core components are made of high manganese steel wear-resistant material, which increases the service life by more than 50% compared with traditional granulators.

Applicable fields and industry coverage
The new type of organic fertilizer granulator is widely applicable to the granulation of powder materials in fertilizer processing, feed production, and the chemical industry. In organic fertilizer production, it can process fermented organic materials such as livestock and poultry manure, crop straw, distiller's grains, mushroom residue, and medicinal residue. In the field of compound fertilizers, it can produce compound fertilizer granules. It also achieves excellent granulation results for raw materials such as humic acid and urban sludge. The equipment is also suitable for the granulation of organic-inorganic compound fertilizers and trace element fertilizers.

                                                          

Types of available raw materials

The equipment has a wide range of raw material adaptability and can process eight major categories of organic waste.

Organic waste includes: well-rotted chicken, pig, and cow manure; agricultural by-products such as straw powder, edible mushroom residue, distiller's grains, and medicinal herb residue; humic acid materials such as peat moss, lignite, and weathered coal; and municipal waste such as urban sludge and kitchen waste.

Inorganic waste includes: fertilizer raw materials such as urea, ammonium chloride, ammonium sulfate, monoammonium phosphate, and potassium chloride. The equipment can process various materials with a moisture content of 20%-60%, and can directly process high-moisture and high-fiber materials.

Operating principle and granulation mechanism

The working principle of the new organic fertilizer granulator can be divided into two main technical routes:

"Agitator-Drum" Composite Type:Material enters the machine through the feed inlet and is first mixed and crushed by a high-speed rotating agitator assembly, breaking up large pieces of material and coarse fibers. Then, the granules enter the drum chamber, where they roll, collide, and are densely polished under the combined action of centrifugal force, gravity, and friction, ultimately forming smooth, round spherical granules. The entire process achieves "one-time feeding, full-process forming."

"Extrusion-Disc" Combined Type:Material first enters the extrusion system, where it is forcibly compressed into strips or flakes under the powerful extrusion force of two counter-rotating rollers. Then, the initial granules fall into the disc system, where they tumble and agglomerate within the tilting, rotating discs, being "polished" into smooth, round spherical granules.

Production range and suitable scale

The new type of organic fertilizer granulator offers flexible parameters to adapt to different production capacity needs. Small models have a production capacity of 0.5-1.5 t/h, suitable for family farms and small cooperatives; medium-sized models have a production capacity of 2-8 t/h, suitable for small and medium-sized organic fertilizer plants; and large models have a production capacity of 8-12 t/h, suitable for large-scale production bases. The finished product particle size is adjustable from 1-10 mm, with a pelletizing rate ≥95%.
