Currently, organic fertilizer disc granulation produciton lines have become the mainstream choice for small and medium-sized organic fertilizer enterprises due to their advantages such as low cost, simple operation, and good granule quality. They have a high market penetration rate and are suitable for production lines with an annual output of 10,000-50,000 tons of organic fertilizer. They are widely used in the processing of composted materials such as livestock and poultry manure, straw, and mushroom residue.
Technically, disc granulators are becoming increasingly mature and continuously upgraded. Traditional production lines consist of a crusher, mixer, disc granulator, and screening machine, with a simple structure. Now, they are being upgraded towards intelligent and energy-saving features, equipped with variable frequency speed regulation, automatic spraying, anti-sticking scrapers, and PLC control systems to achieve integrated automatic feeding, granulation, and screening, reducing labor costs, increasing granulation rate, and significantly improving granule roundness. At the same time, wear-resistant liners and low-energy consumption configurations reduce material sticking and lower production energy consumption, meeting green production requirements.
In terms of application and shortcomings, this production line has obvious advantages: low investment, simple maintenance, uniform granule output, and high market acceptance. However, limitations also exist. Single-machine capacity is limited, making it difficult to meet large-scale industrial production needs. It also has high requirements for material moisture and viscosity, resulting in poor granulation of high-fiber materials, lower particle strength, and susceptibility to pulverization during long-distance transportation.
In the future, disc granulation production lines will develop towards large-scale, modular, and integrated designs, incorporating drying, cooling, and coating equipment to improve the process flow. Simultaneously, by combining IoT-based intelligent control and optimizing material matching technology, it will balance cost-effectiveness and production efficiency, complementing extrusion granulation production lines, thus contributing to the high-quality development of the organic fertilizer industry and aligning with the policy trend of green agricultural development.
