Choosing the right windrow compost turner requires considering three core factors: the production scale of the NPK blending fertilizer produciton line, material characteristics, and operating site conditions. A comprehensive assessment of these factors, combined with key equipment parameters, is necessary to balance operational efficiency and cost control. First, match the production scale: small organic fertilizer plants or farming cooperatives with smaller daily processing volumes can choose lightweight models with a turning width of 1.5–2.5 meters and a depth of 0.6–1 meter, covering a daily processing capacity of 50–200 tons, resulting in lower equipment purchase and maintenance costs. Medium-to-large-scale organic fertilizer production enterprises requiring high-intensity continuous operation should select heavy-duty models with a turning width of 3–5 meters and a depth of 1–1.5 meters, capable of processing over 300 tons per day, ensuring precise matching of production capacity and order requirements. Second, consider material characteristics: for processing highly viscous materials such as livestock and poultry manure, prioritize models with wear-resistant blade materials and robust mixing and crushing structures to prevent material caking and ensure effective fermentation; for materials primarily composed of coarse fiber raw materials such as straw and dead branches, a spiral or hydraulically enhanced turning structure should be used to improve material mixing uniformity and aeration. Finally, consider the operating site conditions: for muddy and soft open-air fermentation sites, choose models with low ground pressure to prevent equipment sinking and delays; for narrow workshops or greenhouses, focus on the turning radius and maneuverability of the equipment to reduce operational difficulties caused by space limitations.
