A fertilizer horizontal mixing machine is a core piece of equipment in the production of organic fertilizer, compound fertilizer, and BB fertilizer. Proper use can improve mixing uniformity, ensure fertilizer efficiency, and extend equipment life. Before use, check the motor, reducer, bearings, and seals. Run the mixer idle to confirm there are no abnormalities before adding materials. Materials need to be cleaned of impurities and crushed beforehand, and the moisture content should be controlled to avoid clumping, sticking to the walls, or overloading.
The feeding principle should follow the order of main materials first, then auxiliary materials; dry materials first, then wet materials; coarse materials first, then fine materials. Add the main materials in larger quantities first, then add auxiliary materials, microbial agents, or trace elements. Add small amounts of high-efficiency components slowly at the end to prevent uneven mixing. The filling volume should be controlled at 60%–80% to avoid overfilling, which can lead to weak mixing and difficulty in discharging.
The mixing time should be adjusted according to the material. Dry powder fertilizer requires 3–5 minutes, while wet organic fertilizer requires 8–10 minutes, ensuring no clumping or obvious stratification. Do not open the machine cover or approach rotating parts during operation. If abnormal noise or jamming occurs, stop the machine immediately and check.
When discharging, stop the agitation before opening the discharge port; this allows for short-term idling to remove residual material. Before changing the formula, all remaining material inside the machine must be cleaned to prevent cross-contamination. Regularly clean any adhering materials, perform periodic lubrication and maintenance, tighten bolts, check blade wear, and maintain a proper gap between the blades and the cylinder wall.
In agricultural production, horizontal mixers can be used for mixing and fermenting manure with straw and microbial agents. They can also be used for precise mixing of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and trace elements, resulting in more balanced fertilizer nutrients and improved fertilizer utilization. Suitable for various planting scenarios such as fields, orchards, and vegetable gardens, they are key equipment for large-scale fertilization and organic fertilizer production.
