Raw material pretreatment is fundamental. The fineness of the material should be controlled within 2mm; the higher the fineness, the easier the particles are to form and the smoother the surface. Moisture content should be controlled between 22% and 28%. Too dry, and the particles will easily shed powder and have many sharp edges; too wet, and they will easily stick to the walls and clump, both affecting smoothness. Feeding should be uniform and continuous, avoiding fluctuations. The material level in the cylinder should be maintained at about 1/3 to allow the particles to roll and polish fully.

Equipment parameter adjustment is crucial. The rounding machine speed should be controlled between 30 and 50 r/min; a moderately fast speed can enhance the polishing effect. The cylinder inclination angle should be adjusted to 3° to 6°; the smaller the inclination angle, the longer the particle residence time, and the better the smoothness. A two- or three-stage rounding machine is preferred, with progressive shaping and polishing for more uniform particle shape. The cylinder is lined with polyurethane or wear-resistant rubber to reduce particle scratching and to promptly remove any sludge, keeping the inner wall smooth.

The supporting processes are also crucial. After granulation, the particles undergo coarse screening to remove irregularly shaped particles such as long strips and flat grains before entering the rounding machine. A well-coordinated drying and cooling process prevents particle deformation and cracking. Precise control of each stage effectively improves particle roundness and smoothness, enhancing product quality and market competitiveness.
