Safety Precautions for Operating Half-Wet Material Crushers

2026/02/02

Half-wet material crushers are heavy-duty equipment.  During operation, it is crucial to strictly adhere to safety guidelines such as "power off and lockout/tagout, no reaching into the machine, and starting under no load," and avoid any risky behavior.

I. Before Operation: Inspection and Protection

1. Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses (to prevent splashes) and dust masks are mandatory. Gloves must be close-fitting, and wearing necklaces, bracelets, or other easily entangled jewelry is strictly prohibited. Long hair must be secured under a cap.

2. Equipment Inspection: Check that the power supply voltage and wiring are intact, and confirm that the crushing chamber cover, blades, screen, and other components are securely installed. Starting under load is strictly prohibited.

3. Material Pre-treatment:  Mixing in metal, stones, glass, or other hard objects is strictly prohibited. Large pieces of material must be crushed to a size smaller than the feeding opening to prevent jamming.

II. During Operation: Procedures and Emergency Response

1. Feeding Procedure: The machine must be started under no load.  Feed the material evenly only after the rotation speed is normal. Overloading and uneven feeding are strictly prohibited.

2. Prohibited Actions:  Opening the crushing chamber cover or reaching into the machine while the fertilizer production machine is running is strictly prohibited. Using metal rods, wooden sticks, or other tools to force material into the feeding opening is strictly prohibited.

3. Abnormal Situations: If abnormal noise, violent vibration, burning smell, or motor smoke is detected, immediately cut off the power. Inspection can only be performed after the equipment has completely stopped.

III. After Operation: Cleaning and Power Disconnection

1. Complete Power Disconnection: After operation, first turn off the power switch, then unplug the power cord. Running the machine without load is strictly prohibited.

2. Cleaning and Maintenance: After the equipment cools down, promptly clean the remaining material from the crushing chamber and collection container. Regularly check the blade wear and add lubricating oil according to the instruction manual.
