What is the mixing process of an organic fertilizer double axis mixer?

2025/12/10

The core mixing process of an organic fertilizer double axis mixer utilizes two counter-rotating propeller blades to achieve efficient fusion of materials through a four-step process of "tearing-convection-shearing-mixing." It is suitable for mixing composted organic fertilizer, straw, and auxiliary materials (such as microbial agents and urea).

The specific process can be divided into four key stages:

1. Feed Dispersion: Composted organic fertilizer, straw powder, and auxiliary materials enter the mixing chamber through the feed inlet. When the propeller blades of the two main shafts first contact the materials, the propeller force of the blades initially breaks up any clumps, preventing large pieces from accumulating and causing uneven mixing.

2. Forced Convection: As the twin shafts rotate in opposite directions, the blades on both sides push the materials towards the center of the mixing chamber, while the materials in the center are lifted upwards, forming a three-dimensional motion trajectory of "left-right convection + up-down tumbling," breaking up the stratified state of the materials and allowing different components to quickly interweave.

3. Shearing and Refining: The propeller blades are designed with wear-resistant teeth that shear and tear incompletely broken-up fibrous materials (such as straw) and clumps during rotation, further refining the material particles, increasing the contact area between different components, and improving mixing accuracy.

4. Discharge and Conveying: Under the continuous thrust of the propeller blades, the uniformly mixed material gradually moves towards the discharge port and is finally discharged to enter the next granulation or packaging process. The entire process is continuous, with no dead corners for material residue.

Additional Core Advantages: The dual-shaft design can adapt to organic fertilizer materials with high moisture content (40%-60%), avoiding the problems of wall sticking and low mixing efficiency of single-shaft mixers. It is the core mixing equipment for medium and large-scale bio organic fertilizer produciotn lines.
