1. How is the traditional straw fermentation achieved

There are two methods of high temperature composting and retting. The straw fermentation method is: first crush the straw with a grinder, but do not adjust the water content, carbon nitrogen ratio, PH value and other factors. The ratio of raw materials is the key to improve fertilizer efficiency, and the appropriate carbon to nitrogen ratio for microbial growth activity is 25:1. Therefore, adjusting the ratio of carbon and nitrogen in compost raw materials is an effective measure to accelerate the decomposition and improve the humus coefficient. The general preparation methods include phosphate fertilizer method, lime method, fecal urine method, etc. The straw should be soaked with enough water to make the straw water content reach 60 to 70 percent, which is the key to the success of composting. The fertilizer pile without adding decay agent is generally sealed for about 40 days in summer, the temperature in the pile can rise to 50 to 60, and after the high temperature stage in the pile, the internal and external dumping can be carried out. The standard of spoilage is: black, rotten, smelly, that is, the straw becomes brown or black brown, soft and elastic when wet, and brittle and easy to break when dry.
