The dry double roller granulator mainly uses the dry extrusion technology to compress the powder materials with the moisture content ≤ 15% into pieces, and then through the crushing, pelletizing and screening process to make the pieces of block materials into the granular materials that meet the use requirements. The dry double roller granulator mainly relies on the external pressure mode to force the materials to pass through the gap between two relatively rotating rollers and compress them into pieces. Qualified products are sent to the finished product warehouse by conveyor. The material under the powder screen is sent back to the raw material bin for secondary rolling through the conveyor. The size of the extrusion pressure can be adjusted by the hydraulic system according to the needs of granulation operation.

Some problems of dry double roller granulator in tablet pressing
Problems to be noticed in tablet pressing of dry double roller granulator:


1. After mixing, the content must be determined.

2. The properties of raw materials and auxiliary materials should be similar, so as to avoid uneven mixing. Because the physical properties of the material such as bulk density and particle size distribution are similar, the homogeneity of the mixture is good. Especially when the main drug content is small, the content uniformity of the finished product needs to be done. If the mixture is not good, the problem will be big.

3. Do not allow to add lubricant. Note that it is necessary to wait for other dressings to mix evenly before adding non-toxic lubricant, and control the mixing time, otherwise it will affect disintegration and dissolution.

4. When making the prescription design, we must follow the principle of small test, medium test and large-scale production.

5. Special attention shall be paid to all kinds of abnormal conditions during tablet pressing. During the pressing process of the dry process to the roll granulator, it may be caused by the vibration of the equipment and other reasons, such as flake cracking, poor uniformity, bad hardness flake weight and so on. Track and record, solve in time, and ensure the product quality.
