Hydraulic Channel-Type Compost Turner Project Successfully Implemented in Yantai, Shandong

On January 3, 2025, a hydraulic channel-type compost turner system was successfully installed and commissioned at an organic fertilizer fermentation facility in Yantai, Shandong. The system is now fully operational, facilitating the aerobic composting of organic waste—such as livestock manure and crop straw—and serving as the core equipment for the client's manure resource utilization and organic fertilizer production line.

As shown in the on-site photos, the system utilizes a configuration where a single turner unit is paired with a rail-mounted transfer carriage to service multiple fermentation channels. The facility features orderly concrete fermentation channels, specialized steel rails for movement, and an overhead steel-structure canopy designed for outdoor operations. The transfer carriage moves smoothly along the rails on heavy-duty wheels, allowing the turner unit to be rapidly relocated between channels; this eliminates the need for a dedicated turner for every channel, significantly reducing initial procurement costs and maximizing equipment utilization efficiency.




The machine is equipped with a proven hydraulic lifting system, allowing the turning roller to adjust its height flexibly based on the thickness of the material pile. During operation, it thoroughly turns and breaks up the material, continuously supplying oxygen to the pile to promote high-temperature aerobic fermentation. This process rapidly destroys parasite eggs and weed seeds, shortens the maturation cycle, and effectively suppresses odor generation, ensuring compliance with environmental production standards. It features an independent electrical control cabinet with an intuitive, user-friendly interface, making it easy for plant personnel to operate on a daily basis.

The machine features a welded structure made of heavy-gauge steel, ensuring a robust and durable frame. Its travel components are reinforced to withstand the variable climate of coastal Shandong, supporting long-term, stable, and continuous operation. With a compact process layout and seamless integration between civil engineering and equipment, this system is an ideal composting solution for large-scale livestock farms and small-to-medium-sized organic fertilizer plants.
