Causes of Material Blockage in Organic Fertilizer Ball shaping Machines

2026/03/16

Material blockage in organic fertilizer ball shaping machines is a common malfunction in production, often caused by a combination of issues related to materials, operation, equipment, and processes. First, excessively high moisture content in the material is a primary cause. When the raw materials for organic fertilizer have too much moisture, their viscosity increases, making them prone to adhering to the throwing disc and the inner wall of the cylinder, gradually accumulating and clumping, preventing normal material movement and hindering discharge, ultimately leading to blockage. Second, uneven feeding and excessive feeding also easily cause blockage. If manual feeding or feeding equipment without frequency conversion control is used, feeding too much material at once will cause a sudden increase in equipment load, preventing the material in the rounding cavity from being dispersed and discharged in time, leading to rapid blockage.

Furthermore, the presence of large impurities in the raw materials can also cause blockage. Incompletely fermented clumps, uncrushed hard materials, plastic bags, wire, and other debris can easily get stuck at the feed inlet or inside the rounding cavity, hindering material flow and causing blockage. Improper equipment parameter settings can also cause material blockage. If the throwing disc angle is too flat or the rotation speed is too low, the material cannot form a proper circular trajectory and will only accumulate at the bottom, preventing smooth discharge.

Furthermore, uncleaned material inside the equipment can also cause blockage. If material is not emptied before shutdown, residual material will become damp and crust over, increasing operating resistance upon restarting and easily leading to blockage. Inappropriate discharge port height and poor discharge flow will cause more and more material to accumulate inside, also causing blockage. In daily production, only by controlling the moisture content of raw materials, ensuring stable and uniform feeding, timely impurity removal, proper adjustment of equipment parameters, and regular cleaning and maintenance can material blockage in the granulation machine be effectively reduced, ensuring the stable operation of the organic fertilizer granulation produciton line.
