Half-wet material crusher requirements for material moisture content

2026/03/17

Half-wet material crushers are not particularly demanding in terms of material moisture content. They are specifically designed for high-moisture, easily agglomerated materials and are a key machine in organic fertilizer production lines for processing fermented materials.

The normal operating moisture content range of this equipment is typically 20%60%. Fermented chicken manure, cow manure, pig manure, sludge, high-moisture straw, and kitchen waste can all be directly crushed without prior drying. Its internal special anti-sticking structure, combined with high-hardness hammers and blade cavity design, effectively solves problems such as material sticking to the walls, clogging, and machine stalling during wet material crushing, ensuring continuous and stable output.

While highly adaptable to moisture levels, it is not without limitations. If the material is too dry, approaching a dry powder state, it can still be crushed, but the efficiency and cost-effectiveness are lower than ordinary crushers, and it will also accelerate hammer wear. If the material is too wet, resembling a slurry, it cannot form particles or loose material, thus failing to crush properly and affecting the output particle size and equipment operation.

In organic fertilizer production, the moisture content of fermented materials is generally within the applicable range, allowing them to be directly fed into a semi-wet material crusher without additional moisture adjustment. Overall, this equipment is moisture-resistant, does not clog, has wide applicability, high tolerance for moisture content, and is easy to use, making it an ideal device for treating high-moisture organic waste.
