In organic fertilizer and NPK compound fertilizer produciton lines, the fertilizer screw conveyor is a core piece of equipment for transporting raw materials and finished products. The following precautions should be followed to ensure stable operation and production safety: Before starting, thoroughly inspect the equipment, ensuring that the screw blades are not deformed, the casing is not damaged, and the fastening bolts are not loose. Also, clean any debris from inside the conveyor and the feed inlet to prevent foreign objects from jamming the blades and damaging the equipment; verify the characteristics of the conveyed material, strictly prohibiting the transport of viscous, corrosive, or large, hard materials that exceed the equipment's design specifications, to avoid clogging or wear of components. When starting, follow the principle of starting under no load: first start the conveyor, and only after the equipment is running smoothly should you slowly feed the material. During feeding, maintain a uniform and continuous flow, avoiding overloading and subsequent shutdown due to excessive material input. Closely monitor the material at the feed inlet to prevent bridging or clogging. During operation, regularly inspect the equipment's operating parameters and working conditions, paying attention to whether the motor's current and temperature are within the normal range. Listen to the equipment's operating sounds; if any abnormal noise, severe vibration, or motor overheating occurs, immediately stop the machine for inspection. Do not operate the equipment with a fault. Additionally, regularly lubricate the bearings, couplings, and other transmission components to ensure proper lubrication and reduce mechanical wear. When stopping, follow the procedure of first stopping the material feed, and then stopping the conveyor only after all material has been completely discharged, to prevent material from caking inside the machine and affecting the next start-up. After stopping, promptly clean the remaining material from the inner wall of the machine and the screw blades, especially after processing viscous organic fertilizer raw materials. Thorough cleaning prevents material spoilage and caking, extending the equipment's service life. Furthermore, operating and maintenance personnel must take safety precautions. It is strictly prohibited to open the casing or reach inside the machine while it is running. Maintenance and repair must be performed only after the power supply has been cut off and warning signs have been posted, to prevent accidents.
