Spraying devices are an indispensable component of organic fertilizer disc granulator machines, directly determining granulation effect, production efficiency, and finished product quality, playing a crucial role in organic fertilizer production.
Organic fertilizer raw materials are mostly dry powders and finely crushed organic matter, lacking sufficient viscosity to spontaneously aggregate into spheres. The spraying system, through uniform atomized water spraying, provides a binding medium for the material, allowing powder particles to adhere to each other and grow layer by layer, which is fundamental to normal granulation. Without spraying, the material merely slides and scatters within the disc, making it difficult to form regular granules, hindering granulation operations.
Proper spraying controls particle shape and size. By adjusting the water volume, spray position, and atomization effect, the material can be guided to roll orderly, producing round, uniformly sized granules, reducing powder and irregularly shaped materials, and lowering the load on subsequent screening. Stable water supply also prevents loose and easily broken granules, improving the strength of the finished product.
For bio-organic fertilizers, the spraying method also affects product quality. Using atomized spraying instead of direct water injection prevents excessive localized moisture from causing clumps and sticking to the discs, while also avoiding water jets that could break up the material and damage functional bacteria. Precise water control maintains the material's moisture content within the optimal range for granulation, balancing molding quality with subsequent drying costs.
Furthermore, the spraying system alleviates material sticking to the discs. Moderate humidification reduces dry powder emissions, improving the workshop working environment; combined with a suitable spray angle, it minimizes large-area material adhesion to the disc bottom and edges, reducing the frequency of manual cleaning and ensuring continuous equipment operation.
In daily production, the spray volume needs to be flexibly adjusted according to the raw material humidity and formula. Combined with pressure stabilization and atomization components, it can maintain its effectiveness. It is also a low-cost and crucial supporting facility in the disc granulation process.
