Double screws compost turning machine, with their large turning depth, strong processing capacity, and good anti-tangling effect, are mainly used in medium to large-scale fermentation projects and are the main equipment for trough-type aerobic fermentation.
They are most commonly used in large-scale bio-organic fertilizer production lines, adaptable to fermentation tanks 6–11 meters wide and 1.5–3 meters deep, and can process mixtures of livestock and poultry manure, straw, mushroom residue, and humus. The dual-shaft counter-rotation breaks up long fibers and mixes materials evenly, significantly improving fermentation uniformity, shortening the composting cycle, and meeting the needs of continuous mass production in factories.
They are also widely used in large-scale livestock farms. Large quantities of manure and wastewater generated by pig farms with tens of thousands of heads, large-scale cattle farms, and chicken farms are turned, oxygenated, dehydrated, and deodorized by this machine, achieving on-site harmless treatment and resource utilization, solving environmental problems while producing high-quality organic fertilizer.
It also widely serves the environmental solid waste disposal field, capable of handling high-moisture, high-viscosity waste such as municipal sludge, kitchen waste, distiller's grains, traditional Chinese medicine residue, and sugar factory filter mud. The equipment is anti-tangling and does not easily stick to materials, efficiently completing material fermentation and volume reduction, meeting the requirements of solid waste resource utilization projects.
In addition, edible mushroom bases and garden waste treatment sites often choose this equipment to ferment mushroom residue, dead branches and straw, and other agricultural and forestry waste. With an automated control system, it can also be used in closed, solar-powered fermentation workshops, achieving unattended operation.
The investment and operating costs of this equipment are relatively high, making it unsuitable for small workshops with a daily processing capacity of less than 50 tons and shallow trench operation. For these scenarios, a standard single-spiral compost turner offers better cost-effectiveness.
