Advantages:
1. The double roller press granulator produciton technology does not require additional binders or water. Raw materials are directly extruded into shape as dry powder, saving on binder costs and avoiding subsequent drying steps, significantly reducing energy consumption and equipment investment.
2. The process is short and simple to operate, suitable for various dry powder raw materials such as organic fertilizers and npk compound fertilizer produciton line, offering wide applicability and stable granulation rates.
3. The production process generates no wastewater or exhaust gas emissions, and dust is easily collected and treated, demonstrating excellent environmental friendliness and meeting green production requirements.
Disadvantages:
1. The process has strict requirements for raw material particle size and moisture content. Excessive moisture content can cause sticking to the rollers, while insufficient moisture makes molding difficult, requiring precise control of the pretreatment process.
2. The roller surface wears relatively quickly during operation, especially when processing raw materials containing hard impurities. Maintenance costs are high, and roller skins need to be replaced regularly.
3. The strength of the finished granules is relatively lower than that of wet granulation, and the shape is mostly irregular and flattened, resulting in a less uniform appearance. Secondary shaping is required for applications with high demands on granule appearanc
