Ammonium sulphate is used as a nitrogen fertilizer in the agro-industry, also known as urea, contains about 20% nitrogen. Ammonium sulphate is an excellent nitrogen fertilizer. It is suitable for general soils and crops. It can make branches and leaves grow vigorously, improve fruit quality and yield, and enhance crop resistance to disasters. It can be used as base fertilizer, top dressing and seed fertilizer.
Ammonium sulfate manufacturing process
Ammonium sulphate is mainly produced by using by-products from industrial production or exhaust gas to be absorbed by sulfuric acid or ammonia water, and then crystallizing by using ammonium sulfate evaporating crystallizer. There is also a method of producing ammonium sulfate by gypsum method, which is made of natural gypsum or phosphogypsum, ammonia and carbon dioxide.

Major Production Equipment of Ammonium Sulfate
1.Roller press granulator: The water content of raw materials should be less than 15% before granulating in the roller press granulator, which is suitable for granulating powder or granules.
2.Uniform feeder: The uniform feeder can realize the uniform distribution of fertilizer and accelerate the granulation speed of fertilizer.nium sulfate
Advantages of ammonium sulphate fertilizer:
1.The hygroscopicity is relatively small and it is not easy to agglomerate
2.Ammonium sulfate has excellent physical properties and chemical stability compared to ammonium nitrate and ammonium bicarbonate.
3.Ammonium sulfate is a quick-acting fertilizer, which can be effective in 2-3 days. The fertilizer effect can be maintained for 10-20 days and can be absorbed directly by plants.
Notices for Ammonium Sulfate Fertilizer:
1.Ammonium sulfate chemical fertilizer can not be mixed with plant ash. Plant ash belongs to strong alkali weak acid and can react with ammonium sulfate to reduce fertilization effect.
2.Ammonium sulfate belongs to acid fertilizer and is suitable for alkaline or carbonaceous soils. Ammonium sulfate needs to be used with lime in acidic soils.
3.Ammonium sulfate is soluble in water and can dissolve more than 40 kilograms per 100 kilograms of cold water.
