Double Screws Compost Turning Machines are core equipment in organic fertilizer fermentation. The uniformity of composting directly affects fermentation speed, maturity, and finished product quality. Improving uniformity can be achieved through equipment operation, structural adjustments, and material pretreatment.
Controlling the travel and helix speeds is crucial. Excessive travel speed leads to insufficient material dispersion, preventing adequate turning of the bottom layer; insufficient speed causes localized repeated turning and pile deformation. A low, uniform travel speed should be maintained to allow the double helixes sufficient time to throw the bottom material upwards and to both sides. Simultaneously, ensure the double helixes rotate synchronously in opposite directions to avoid uneven rotation speeds on both sides, preventing issues like insufficient turning on one side and accumulation on the other.
Maintaining the integrity and symmetry of the helix blades is also important. Uneven blade wear and inconsistent angles will disrupt the material conveying direction, resulting in a pile that is higher in the middle and lower on the sides. Regular inspection, welding, or replacement of the blades is necessary to ensure symmetrical structure of the left and right helices and consistent material throwing capacity. During operation, maintain a consistent turning depth to avoid uneven depths and ensure that the bottom anaerobic material is fully turned out, achieving uniform oxygenation throughout the entire trough.
Proper material pretreatment improves uniformity from the source. Before fermentation, break up clumps of material, controlling the moisture content to 55%-65%. Cut long straws and other fibrous materials into sections beforehand to reduce spiral entanglement and jamming. Simultaneously, ensure the track is straight and the equipment travels without deviation, using a reciprocating turning route, with focused turning at both ends of the trough to reduce dead zones.
Through standardized operation, regular maintenance, and proper pretreatment, the turning uniformity of the double-helix compost turner can be significantly improved, the fermentation cycle shortened, and the quality of organic fertilizer decomposition and the production efficiency of the bio-organic fertilizer produciton line enhanced.
