Reducing sudden shutdowns of double roller pess granlators hinges on source material control, standardized operation, and precise maintenance to prevent problems such as material blockage, jamming, overload, and component damage.
Before production, rigorous material pretreatment is crucial. Equip the machine with a permanent magnet separator to remove hard objects such as metal and stones, preventing roller surface damage and jamming. Control material particle size to ensure uniformity and prevent large lumps. Maintain a moisture content of 5%–10%. Excessive moisture can cause roller blockage, while excessive dryness leads to excessive dust, poor forming, and current fluctuations.
During operation, maintain a uniform speed and frequency conversion feeding to avoid sudden large material flow impacts. Monitor the main motor current in real time and promptly reduce material if it exceeds the rated value. Adjust the roller gap and hydraulic pressure appropriately, ensuring the equipment's rated load is not exceeded to prevent overload tripping. If roller sticking, abnormal noise, or abnormal vibration is detected, immediately reduce material and investigate; do not force operation with defects.
Routine maintenance is key to preventing downtime: Clean residual material from the rollers, feed inlet, and discharge outlet every shift to prevent material buildup and clumping; check belt and chain tension and fasteners daily; lubricate bearings and gears weekly to prevent overheating due to insufficient lubrication. Check roller wear monthly; repair or replace any rollers with excessive wear. Regularly check hydraulic system oil levels and filters to prevent leaks and pressure instability.
Strictly follow operating procedures: start under no-load and feed material only after normal operation; stop material before stopping the machine, empty any remaining material, and never stop abruptly with material inside.
