Advantages and disadvantages of drum granulator for compound NPK fertilizer production

2021/03/17

The production process of compound NPK fertilizer is mainly composed of raw material proportioning, mixing, crushing, drum granulator, primary screening, particle drying, cooling, secondary screening, particle coating and packaging. Granulation is an important link, which is generally realized by roller extrusion granulator, disc granulator or drum granulator. The fertilizer granulator machine price varies according to specifications and types.
Advantages and disadvantages of drum granulator for compound NPK fertilizer production
In several kinds of compound NPK fertilizer granulation process, drum granulation production process is favored by many compound fertilizer manufacturers and adopted by more and more compound fertilizer manufacturers for its advantages of relatively small formula limit, high output, low investment and short construction period.

In the actual production of drum granulation process, in order to fix the steam pipe, water pipe, liquid ammonia pipe, dilute sulfuric acid pipe and their respective reactors and other equipment, manufacturers usually set a central installation pipe through the drum granulator. However, due to the existence of the central installation pipe, during the operation of the NPK fertilizer granulator, the wet materials will be thrown up and down on the central installation pipe with the rotation of the rotating drum, resulting in the material sticking and forming large pieces of material, which makes the granulation effect significantly worse, the product particle size is uneven, the finished product quantity is reduced and the output is reduced.
